We’re back, look! I can at least commit to something for two days! Go me!
Bit of a shorter post as I’ve been back at work so less time to Geek! Though that said, I do still manage to have my tea and coffee in a variety of Star Wars mugs! Today I had to go and pick up a special package that the post man had rudely not delivered to my house when was convenient for me! I’ll let him off though as said package was my monthly Geek Box!
One of the many subscription boxes available on the market, I don’t think My Geek Box is the best one in terms of content but it’s probably one of the most cost effective at roughly £16 per month for a 12 month subscription.
This month the box contained a Batman mug, a uniquely designed T-shirt, a The Last of Us keyring, Star Wars post-it notes and a Batman themed backpack! Not a bad box this month and well worth the £16.
Some of the past boxes have been a bit lacklustre and I’m always trying to work out whether the stuff in the box would be something I would ordinarily buy for myself. I decided to get the subscription to try and prevent me from buying loads of miscellaneous geeky bits all the time…..it has not worked very well!
If you fancy checking out some of the boxes for yourself check out the link below. There are normally sign up discounts so keep an eye out!
Later on this evening I received a couple of belated birthday gifts from my sister! The geekiest of my fellow siblings, she knows my interests well. I received a Star Wars Wicket the Ewok Funko Pop Vinyl and another Star Wars novel, this time a Legends title, Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void by Tim Lebbon. One of the last Legends titles published before the canon was reset and the story that is set the furthest back in Star Wars history, 25,000 years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin).
Always love getting a new Star Wars book but it will be a while before I get round to reading this one, my backlog is ever growing!
That’s it for today, I’m off to relax for the evening and maybe even play a little bit of PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battleground), the full game version is now available to play so let’s see how bad I am!
See you tomorrow geeks!
